Laptop Cooler Month

Laptop Cooler Month - Comedy - When is laptop cooler month? I think it should be either May or June. I think it's best to buy a laptop cooler in May. It is also important to have a laptop cooler during the hot months of July, August, and September. However, just because you need a laptop cooler most during the summer months does not mean you don't need it during the winter months. I for example spend more time with my laptop during the cold months than any other time.

It's fun and exciting to participate in Black Friday Shopping or watch the Black Friday news, however, we must not forget about safety. A wacky video of people fighting over the last item in a store can be funny, but it is not funny when people get hurt. Try to use common sense when shopping that day. Also try to keep your anger in check. And last but not least we have to follow the golden rule of swimming pools and this is... NO RUNNING. If people refrain from running on Black Friday, I think that will eliminate many of the injuries that occur that day. And remember, if you don't get what you want on Black Friday, there's always Cyber Monday!

I love homemade laptop coolers. I think it illustrates just how creative and innovative people can be. Some of the YouTube videos in this category can be quite impressive. I've seen units constructed out of aluminum and others with multiple fans. I've also seen simple coolers made of cardboard boxes and powered by room fans. It's a very exciting category and these videos also seem to do rather well in the numbers department (views). That might be a good tip on how to make a popular video. Just make a homemade laptop cooler video and you could be the next internet sensation!

DO NOT PLACE LAPTOP ON TOP OF LAP

Yeah, I know that sounds counter intuitive. That's like saying Warning: Do Not Place Microwave Popcorn in Microwave Oven. However, according to news reports, laptops can cause your skin to toast if placed on body parts for a long period of time. I knew that laptops ran hot and there was a concern for the well being of the laptop, but I had not really heard anything about the dangers for the human operator of these portable machines. Although, I do recall reading a story on the Internets about some guy who accidentally burned his private parts with a laptop, I wasn't too concerned because I wasn't sure the story was true and if it was true, it sounded like a freak accident and not a concern for the average laptop user. The interesting thing is that before 2010, I believe most people had never heard of legs getting burned or toasted by laptops. Then all of a sudden the big mega news story about the so called "Toasted Skin Syndrome" hit the airwaves and interwebs in October of that year. It was everywhere! It was on the morning shows. It was on the nightly news. It was on Google and Yahoo News. It was basically on every news network big and small, local, national, and global. And now almost a year later, I think the world has collectively forgotten about the news stories and their warnings about a laptop caused syndrome. I asked a friend the other day, "Remember how everyone was all in a frenzy about that Toasted Skin Syndrome?" She looked at me with a blank stare and asked "Toasted what?". And I guess that's the very reason I decided to create this page in an effort to help educate those who somehow missed the news tidal wave of 2010 and to refresh the memories of those who simply forgot. RADIATOR FOR LAPTOP?

Cars and Laptops are similar in the fact that they both generate lots of HEAT. With the automobile you want the engine to be warm, but not overly hot. However, in the case of the laptop computer, you strictly want the temperature to be as low as possible. In other words, you never want to "warm up" a laptop the way you would warm up a car. Computers actually run faster at lower temperatures. The main purpose of a laptop cooler is to protect you and the delicate components of your laptop from the dangers of heat, but a side benefit is that it could theoretically give you a tiny boost of computer performance.

What is QuadCooler TV?

ANSWER:

We obviously want to sell you a laptop cooler, but there are some things you can check out to keep your laptop from overheating. Keep in mind that most laptops run pretty warm, but when the laptop starts locking up then you either have a broken laptop or you are not operating the laptop correctly. The first thing I would like to point out is that a laptop is designed to sit on a flat surface. Even though it is called a "LAP-TOP", the soft curves of your lap (legs) is not the best surface for your laptop. The reason is because the laptop needs to have a little gap of air underneath it so that warm air can escape to the surrounding atmosphere. Even worse than your laptop is carpet or thick comforter in your bed, because the laptop will literally sink into the carpet or blanket and completely block the air flow. If you are going to be lying in your bed with laptop I would recommend you place something big and flat beneath your laptop like for example a large book. Of course the QuadCooler works much better than a book, because it's light weight and it's made of plastic which insulates you from the hot laptop. Ok, the next thing I would check is the internal fan or fans on your laptop computer. The easiest way to test it is to wait until the laptop gets warm and then turn it upside down and look at the fan. If the fan is not turning you may have a bad fan or a loose connection. I would recommend that you call a local computer technician to take a look at your laptop. If the internal fan is not working, then your laptop may have too much of a heat problem for even the QuadCooler to handle.

ANSWER:

Yes that makes sense. The QuadCooler will still help your laptop even if the fans are pulling air in different directions. However, it does make sense that the QuadCooler should work better if it is pushing air in the same direction as your laptop. To find out whether your laptop is a "sucker" or a "blower" you should give it the "Toilet Paper" test. Simply get one square of toilet paper and place it over the fan on your laptop. If the square blows off then you've got a blower. If the square gets sucked onto the grill of the fan then you've got a sucker. In theory the QuadCooler works best with "blower" type laptop fan. I hope this answers your question.
